At last year’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA), Wynne Evans (The Go Compare man), spotted finalist Simon Washbrook’s eye-catching floral jacket in a twitter post from the event. After pulling him up on stage to quiz him about his bold jacket, Simon was given the amazing opportunity to pitch to the audience.
To the amusement of the GBEA crowd, Simon spectacularly fluffed his big moment when he nearly forgot the name of his own company, popcorn! Fortunately he pulled it together in time to impress Francesca James, the founder of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards… Following several conversations and fast forwarding a year, popcorn is now very proud to announce a partnership with The Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Francesca James, founder of the GBEA, said: ‘We’re delighted to be partnering with Simon and the team at popcorn. Simon was a finalist at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards in 2019 and we recently started talking about working together to use popcorn for our email communications to members and subscribers.
