Comparisons:
popcorn CRM and Salesforce CRM
When deciding which CRM system to use, the first thing to consider is what you need a system for. Concentrating on all the flashy features could bog you down in the long run! This is why we’ve measured popcorn against Salesforce CRM, to demonstrate the differences between what’s on the market.
Check out the table below of key business functions and see how popcorn CRM and Salesforce CRM compare.
What is the CRM designed for?
Simple CRM and lead management, designed for small businesses to grow sales – with just the essential tools.
An industry-leading CRM designed to help all businesses with their sales
Is the CRM designed for small business?
popcorn CRM is designed by a small business owner, specifically for small businesses and is designed to be simple, whilst helping your sales take off!
Salesforce Essentials is designed for growing businesses, with many upgrades and add-ons available – but is best suited for larger teams.
Is it simple and easy to use?
Designed from the ground to be simple, you can always get to where you need within one click. Watch how we add a note/reminder in just 10 seconds.
Essentials is the simplest of the packages available, and one of Salesforce’s strengths is its integrations. But with so many features and options available, everything becomes quite complicated and overkill for what a small business needs.
Can you have all your prospects in one place?
popcorn displays all your prospects on one page in a simple to use, customisable and highly visual way.
You can store all your contacts in Salesforce, but they’re grouped into prospect accounts.
Are marketing/lead management tools built into the platform?
The essential tools needed by a typical small business (email marketing, lead generation, sales pipelines, website tracking and call logging) are fully integrated in the platform as standard.
See our packages and popcorn Promise HERE.
Salesforce has marketing and lead management tools built in, or set as integrations. But they provide many of them in the Marketing Cloud, which is an expensive add-on module. Salesforce is designed for larger organisations, so often requires you to select lots of different options.
Will it identify hot prospects for me?
popcorn CRM allows you to customise and automatically identify hot prospects, by scoring activity across your CRM and email marketing, and your prospect’s website visits.
Salesforce has lead grading, but it can be quite complicated to set up as you need to work out formulas and setup Apex codes.
What are the key features?
popcorn’s CRM is at the heart of every feature – it’s just one click away from essential features a small business needs to grow. It includes: email marketing, lead generation, sales pipelines, call logging, reminders, and landing pages. You can view these on our Features page.
Salesforce provides multiple sales tools, with the CRM at the centre and many tools on top, including: contact, quote and opportunity management, lead management, email integration, forecasting, partner management, automation and integration. You can see more of their products here.
Is it quick to set up and start using?
popcorn’s users are typically up and getting meaningful results within 15 minutes.
Read our case study HERE.
Salesforce can be time-consuming to set up, and its support is better found in its forums than in documentation. This also depends on the package you buy.
How much does it cost?
Simple: £9 p/m for our CRM only package – and £49 p/m for our other packages.
Additional users add £5 a month; additional emails (more than the 4,500 standard) and tiered accounts can be bolted on. Read our full pricing details HERE.
Salesforce doesn’t offer a free version, but has a 30 day free trial for its packages. For its basic, core module, prices start from:
Salesforce Essentials: £20+ per user/month
Salesforce Professional: £60+ per user/month
Salesforce Enterprise: £120+ per user/month.
These offer basic tools, but other modules exist such as the Marketing Cloud. This module starts from:
Basic: £320 org/month (billed annually)
Pro: £1000 org/month (billed annually)
Corporate: £3000 org/month (billed annually)
Enterprise: Quote required
