Press Release – New Partnership For Popcorn The Straightforward Lead Management Software For Local Small Businesses

in preparation for the pre-launch event of the brand new version of popcorn CRM, in September 2022,  we issued the following press release. 

A major new partner for Popcorn will be announced at an exclusive event on 20th September 2022 between
5:30 pm-8 pm in Brindley Place. The Mayor of West Midlands, Andy Street and Andy King from FreeAgent are
on the guest list, along with invited forward-thinking entrepreneurs looking to invest in scalability. Based in the
West Midlands, multi-award-winning Popcorn provides simple customer relationship management (CRM) to
small businesses. Popcorn's Founder Simon Washbrook will be launching a brand new version of this user-
friendly platform at this event and will share with guests how Popcorn can help with the fundamentals of CRM,
including financial integration, profit tracking, better sales, customer retention, and efficient sales forecasting in
"real-time". Simon created the software when he found that traditional CRMs were either overloaded with loads
of features or really "clunky" to use. Figures suggest that 64% of small businesses give up on using a CRM
because it's too complicated and expensive. Popcorn’s new partnership will provide additional CRM insights,
further integration and streamlining of the customer acquisition and retention process.

Taking place at the NatWest building, this event will host Birmingham's leading entrepreneurial and high-

drive the region's future success. This partnership announcement is welcome and timely, with small companies
expecting their CRM software to include improved features and more integration without complexity. 47% of
established micro businesses lose £1,200 in sales every month, because they don’t use CRM or Lead
Management Software. Simon’s concept for Popcorn CRM is driven by his passion to combine all of the
essential tools for the sales process that small businesses typically need into one simple-to-use platform. In
2020 Simon was the Winner of the 2020 Dyslexia Awards for Innovation with his celebrated Popcorn CRM.
This recognition was important to Simon because he is dyslexic and this was one of the main reasons why he
recognised the need for a more “one-click” solution and founded Popcorn in the first place. The onboarding
process means that within 15 minutes, new clients will have joined up their online and offline lead generation
systems such as websites, social media and email marketing and begun tracking and qualifying leads.
